Open Call for Proposals in the Field of Environmental Education
The Mayor of Ostrołęka has announced an open call for proposals for the implementation of public tasks in 2026 in the fields of ecology, animal protection and the protection of natural heritage. The call is being organised as part of the “Ostrołęka – Young People at the Centre” project, financed by the Second Swiss Contribution and the Polish state budget under the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Programme.
Non-governmental organisations and other entities whose statutory activities fall within the scope of the call are invited to apply. The aim of the initiative is to increase environmental awareness among residents, promote environmentally friendly attitudes and encourage greater involvement of the local community through educational, informational and community-based activities.
A total of PLN 625,000 has been allocated for the implementation of these activities. Funding may be obtained for workshops, training sessions and environmental events covering, among other topics, waste sorting, waste reduction, energy and water conservation, renewable energy sources and climate change mitigation. Local awareness campaigns promoting an environmentally friendly lifestyle will also be funded, both during city events and through social media.
Funding for a single project may range from PLN 10,000 to PLN 150,000. Projects will be implemented from 1 August to 13 December 2026 for the benefit of residents of Ostrołęka and the project partner, the Rzekuń Municipality.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the Witkac platform by 4:00 p.m. on 9 July 2026. The required documents must then be submitted in paper form or via ePUAP by 3:00 p.m. on 10 July 2026.
We encourage non-governmental organisations to submit their proposals and join us in building a more environmentally friendly and environmentally aware local community.
